Today I'm gonna show you how to make some simple flowers with tissue paper. They look like peonies to me- my favorite flowers.
All you need is;
scissors
tissue paper
craft wire
(If you don't have any craft wire you can use those twist ties or whatever they are called that you get at the grocery store)
Cut 7 pieces of tissue paper. Layer the paper so you just have to cut once;)
I cut about 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"
Place the pieces on top of each other.
Scrunch them up in a little ball
Unfold
Make a fan fold starting at the short end
Use the wire to secure in the middle and now you will have a bow tie looking thingy
GENTLY take layer by layer and pull up towards the middle. Repeat will all the 7 sheets on both sides.
And now it's done. Super easy!
Great flowers for cards or scrapbook pages. And the kids can make them too.( I actually learned this from my kids )
If you want to add some bling or pazazz as my daughter calls it, you can spray the flower with glimmer mist or add glitter. Here I did both...I don't think I like it, but I usually never like glitter in any form or shape...but I tried;)
Click here if you want to know how to make your own glimmer mist.
That's it for today. See you real soon:)

Thanks for sharing this flower. My Mom and I used to make these out of kleenex tissues and bobby pins! We used lipstick to color the edges, then spritzed them with Evening in Paris perfume. Ha! Blast from the past!
