Wouldn't they be a perfect gift for mom. Put a gift certificate inside to her favorite store/restaurant.
And don't forget "Teacher Appreciation Day" May 5!
Print out this template on a 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock. Cut them out and trace to a paper of your choice. It looks really pretty with double sided paper. I like it best if the lid is a solid color, but that's just me;)

When you are done cutting you will have 4 pieces like this.
Fold the sides so it looks like a "M".
Put glue to both sides with fast drying adhesive.
Glue the sides to the purse (after you folded the purse in half) with the narrow side down. You might have to trim the sides a bit on top after you're done.
Glue the lid to the back of the purse. Punch holes to the sides and add eyelets. On the front of the purse, add a button, brad or whatever you like.
Last - put 5/8" Velcro round with sticky back to the inside of the lid and the other part of it to the purse.
Inking,doodling,Stickles..it would all look good here. Be creative!!
If you give this a try, I would love to see the result. Please leave a comment with a link to your gallery!
Who knows, maybe I decide to send out some RAK's;)
As I'm sure you understand..I didn't come up with this purse idea. I stole it! My dear friend Amy Jeustler from Scrapbook.com came to a crop that I had and she brought me a purse like this with a gift certificate to Michael's. How sweet isn't that?
I traced the purse she gave me and made this template! So I did something myself;)
Tomorrow is "National Scrapbook Day" and I will spend the whole day scrapping and do some challenges at Scrapbook.com. I can't wait!
I will do my promised drawing for the givaway tomorrow too, so I will be back then:)

With four daughters I can't go wrong with this template. I will have to try this and be sure to post - full credit to your template design. Many thanks for this wonderful idea.
Oh, thanks to Nina for posting the link to the tutorial. Much appreciation.
So cute. I will try these. Love the ideas and helpful info. If you send out gifts, I would love one as I have a card ministry!!! Rose Banwart
These are so awesome! The only issue I ran into was that the template was a little smaller than I expected making it impossible to fit a gift card through the narrow top portion of the bag. But I'm simply just going to enlarge the template by a few mms and make tons because they're really very cool! I'll post pictures soon! Thanks for the tips!!
